Delete your Pact account

Last updated 2026-05-07

You can delete your Pact account at any time. Your training data is yours; we treat deletion as a permanent action and process it within 7 days. This page explains what to expect and how to start.

Sign in and delete my account

How to start the deletion

From the mobile app: open the Pact app, go to Me (settings tab) → Danger Zone → Delete account. Review the disclosure and confirm. The app will sign you out and email the scheduled deletion date.

From the web app: sign in at app.pactpt.com, open Settings → Delete account, and follow the same flow.

Can't sign in? Email support@pactpt.com from the address on your account. We'll verify ownership and schedule the deletion manually within five business days.

The 7-day grace period

After you confirm, your account is scheduled for deletion in 7 days. Sign in before the deadline to cancel from Settings or the account-deletion banner. After 7 days the deletion runs automatically and is irreversible.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, login credentials, and account record.
  • Sessions you trained alone (sets, reps, weights, notes, body weight history).
  • Your custom exercises, programs, and sticky settings.
  • Any active Stripe subscription is cancelled at deletion time.
  • Coaching notes coaches wrote about you (your personal/medical detail).
  • Pending invites you sent.

What stays anonymized

Some records persist after your account is deleted. Your identity is removed from each, but the underlying record remains for legal, operational, or audit purposes. This is permitted under GDPR Article 17(3)(e) for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, and under analogous provisions in CCPA and other privacy laws.

  • Sessions a coach trained you in. The session record (date, duration, status) stays so the coach has proof of the engagement; your name, your performance data, and any notes are removed.
  • Coaching relationships. The relationship row persists with your side anonymized so the coach can still show their training history.
  • Organization membership history. If you were a member of a gym or organization on Pact, the org keeps the record that the slot you occupied was active during your tenure (for trainer-utilization and client-compliance reports). Your identity is removed; the join and archive dates are preserved.
  • Package compliance records. If you trained as part of a paid package with a gym or organization, the count of sessions completed under that package is preserved (anonymized) for trainer payroll and dispute resolution.
  • Audit logs. Records of security-relevant actions (data exports, invites issued, access changes) are kept with your identity removed.

What we do not control

Deletion of your Pact account does not automatically affect:

  • External billing systems your gym uses (Fusion, Square, etc.) — contact the gym separately if applicable.
  • Apple ID and Google Sign-in— these are managed by Apple and Google. When your account is deleted we revoke Pact's Sign in with Apple access through Apple, and the Google link is removed with your account. Your Apple ID and Google account themselves are untouched. If you signed in with Apple before mid-2026 you can also remove Pact yourself under Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple.

Download your data first

Before you delete, you can export a JSON copy of your training history (sessions, sets, body weights, programs, custom exercises, packages, exercise settings). The deletion flow offers this as an optional step. After deletion completes the data is gone — make a copy if you may want it later.
